This week, this is what is making me happy. Disproportionately so, it turns out.
It's very simple, just a tub on my back doorstep with a couple of plants, a solar powered fountain and some water. It means that I can breakfast on the step with the sound of running water and that, in the too hot days of this August, I can sit in the cooler air just inside the doors and still feel connected to the outside through its gentle splashing.
Sometimes, most times perhaps, it's the simple things that make us happiest and keep our worlds turning.
